Balmer Accountancy - MikeMichael Keatley FCCA, ACIS

Mike went straight into industry after university, initially in the Midlands motor industry. He moved to the City in the 1980’s, eventually rising to be Divisional Finance Director EMEA for two UK plc’s.

After many decades of travelling and company restructuring, he moved into practice in 2006 to apply the same disciplines and guidance that he had learnt in industry. He says on Linked In “My key aims are to give an accurate and speedy response to those seeking to improve their businesses, or start new ventures, in the most tax-efficient and profitable way.”

Balmer Accountancy - Richard


Richard Eckersley ACCA

Richard has worked for small and large accountancy practices, where he trained as an external auditor.  He worked as a company accountant for seven years before returning to practice in 2009.

Richard has been with Balmer Accountancy since September 2012.


Balmer Accountancy - Mustak


Mustak Dhanji

Mustak has a wealth of tax experience being an ex-HMRC Inspector working out of the Milton Keynes office. Latterly he has specialised in Capital Gains Tax although he has a wide knowledge of all tax matters.

Mustak has been working ‘outside’ HMRC for the past 6 years having worked in a local firm before joining Balmer Accountancy in September 2012.


Claire Paul MAATBalmer Accountancy - Claire_P

Claire first started her career in bookkeeping after the birth of herfirst child.  She then went on to study the full AAT and qualified in September 2009.

Before joining Balmer Accountancy in September 2012, Claire worked for a local accountancy firm predominantly preparing year end accounts.

Claire’s love of all things accountancy stems from enjoying the challenge.


Balmer Accountancy - Mary

Mary Bradshaw

Mary joined Balmer Accountancy in September 2013. and hopes that this will be her 3rd and final major role before retiring (if the government ever let her).

Mary has a vast knowledge of all accounts functions. From leaving school she joined a large unit trust and life assurance company where she worked for 12 years, first as an Accounts Clerk, then rising to the position of Senior Accounts Supervisor in the General Accounts Department. Mary also worked at a food manufacturing company for 17 years as the Office / Accounts Manager.

Balmer Accountancy - Amanda


Amanda Urch

Since returning to work after having her two children, Amanda has worked in a number of companies in a financial role. Her responsibilities have included sales and purchase ledgers and other ad-hoc duties involved in the general bookkeeping and running of the office.

Amanda is married and enjoys horse-riding and gardening in her spare time.


Balmer Accountancy - Lynn

Lynn Dumbarton

Lynn worked in practice for many years before taking a break to raise a family.  She returned to work in 2008, originally working for our sister company providing bookkeeping and payroll services for all major clients.

Lynn joined Balmer Accountancy in September 2012 and is now head of the bookkeeping and payroll department and is your first point of contact for any new enquiries.



Balmer Accountancy - ClaireClare McGrath

Clare joined us from our sister company Smart Office Services and assists the existing team with general bookkeeping and payroll services.

In 2013 Clare relocated from Glasgow with her partner and young son. Clare’s natural flair for great attention to detail makes her a natural fit for our growing team within Balmer Accountancy.

Outside of work Clare enjoys spending time with her son and travelling back to Scotland to visit family and friends. She is also an avid reader……of proper paper books, not “one of those Kindle things!” And when the weekend comes she has been known to sip a glass of Pinot.
